Security

Blackmore Court is situated 20 Meters off the main street at Sullivan’s Quay, just across the river Lee from the South Mall which is Cork Cities Business District.

The complex is in a quiet residential street only 300 Meters from one of the main Police Stations in the City.

Each student has a main door electronic fob, an apartment door key, and a bedroom door key. We use keys not key cards to overcome any problems that may arise outside of business hours.

Colour Security Cameras are in operation both inside and outside of the complex which are linked to a computer hard drive storage system and can be viewed from off site over the internet by the managment.

Security lighting is in place in and around all access points to the complex.

Smoke alarms, Heat sensors, Emergency lighting, and Fire doors are fitted as standard in all apartments and public areas. Please note that their is a 250 Euro charge for any accidental setting off of the fire alarm. This is to cover the call out charge to reset the fire vents in the roof which will automatically open once the fire alarm is activated.

Please note that any student behaving in a threatening manner towards other residents or staff will be removed from the building permanently.

Any students found intoxicated will be removed from the building and will be denied entry.

Any students in possession or in the vicinity where a controlled substance is used, stored, displayed or supplied will be removed from the building permanently.

Any student that is removed from the building is responsible for all accommodation fees and associated charges until a suitable replacement for that room if found.

Insurance

The operator is exonerated from all liability for any loss of valuables or personal belongings kept on the complex or in their apartment.

Personal insurance is advised for any valuables.
