The academic year runs from the 1^st September 2008 until 31^st May 2009. If you want to come to Cork sooner and or stay longer this can be arranged.

Room Types.

We have 10 Apartments with a total of 35 beds.

All accommodation has been acoustically insulated and includes 850 mm of mass concrete in the floors to provide a quieter living area.

Note. If you are sharing a bedroom or a bathroom it will only be with one other person and of the same sex.

We offer the opportunity for friends to share an apartment.

Academic Year.

Type 1. Single Bed, Twin Room. 4,200. Euro per year.

Type 2. Double Bed, Twin Room. 4,500. Euro per year.

Type 3. Single Bed, Own Room. 5,200. Euro per year.

Type 4. Single Bed, Twin Room, 1 Bedroom Apartment. 5,300. Euro per year.

Type 5. Double Bed, Own Room. 5,400. Euro per year.

Type 6. Double Bed, Twin Room, 1 Bedroom Apartment. 5,400. Euro per year.

Type 7. Double Bed, Own Room, En-suite. 6,000. Euro per year.

How to book a room.

Complete the online booking form. Attach a photo [ if possible ] and return by email.

When we receive the above information, we will acknowledge receipt of your application. This email will also be used as a Letter of Offer where we hope to be able to offer you the room of your choice.

If you decide to accept the offer you need to proceed immediately with Steps 3, 4, and 5 as shown below. When we receive items no 3 and 4 we will then send you a Booking Confirmation outlining your balance due and payment schedule.

Note Only on receipt of your deposits and 50% of  the fees are you guaranteed a room.

1. Complete the online booking form or download and print.
2. Attach 2 recent passport size photos and sign on the back.
3. Attach a landlord’s reference or a letter of guarantee from a parent or a guardian.
4. Attach the Booking - Cleaning Deposit.
5. Post to,    Blackmore Court. Rochestown Rise, Rochestown, Cork, Ireland.
6. Please note that your booking is not complete until you receive a Booking Confirmation email.
7. Should we not receive the balance of your payment within 7 days of sending your booking confirmation email, you booking will be cancelled.
8. The management has the right to refuse a booking.
9. The supply of false information on the booking form will result in a cancellation of the booking agreement.

These will be advertised in February 2009

Deposits.

Booking Deposit

A booking deposit of 300 Euro is required to book a bedroom.

This is then held as a security deposit and is refunded subject to an inspection of the apartment at the end of the letting period and after confirmation that all utility bills have been paid.

Utility Deposit

A utility deposit of 300 Euro is required to cover the cost of any ESB bills not paid during the letting period. Any balance unused will be refunded.

Service Charges

A fee of 180 Euro is required to cover the cost of the annual TV licience, and the refuse collection. This amount is non refundable.

Cancellation and Refunds.

All refunds will be posted to the students home address within 21 days of departure, this allows time to confirm the payment of any outstanding utility bills, and an inspection of the apartment to be carried out.

A refund of 200 euro will be given if notice of cancellation is received more than 7 weeks prior to start of term.

No refunds will be given if a cancellation is received less than 7 weeks prior to start of term.

No refunds will be given if a student decides to leave prior to end of year.

Any notice of cancellation must be by registered post and addressed to the administration address shown below and NOT to the apartment complex address.

Note. A room is only guaranteed in Blackmore Court when all fees due are paid and a written receipt is issued.

Inspections.

All apartments will be inspected on a weekly basis. Should any apartment fall below an Acceptable standard of cleanliness, contract cleaners will be instructed to provide a once off cleaning service. The relevant occupants will be charged for same.

Arrivals.

Keys must be collected between 8am and 12am Monday to Friday only.

Departures.

48 hours notice must be given prior to departure. Keys must be returned before 12am on the morning of departure. If you are leaving before 8am please make special arrangements with the managment.
